Update 12:36pm PST: Glaus has agreed to terms on a one-year contract for about $2 million with incentives based on playing time according to David O’Brien of the Atlanta Journal Constitution. The deal won’t be announced until after the holidays because Glaus must pass a physical and the Braves’ doctors couldn’t be scheduled on such short notice. The concern is the shoulder surgery that was performed on Glaus in January 2009.
08:18am PST: Ken Rosenthal of the Fox Sports reports the Atlanta Braves have signed free agent Troy Glaus to a one-year contract. Glaus will play first base for the Braves. Figures were not available, but Rosenthal said it includes incentives. The deal is pending a physical.
